THE SUNDAY FUN DAY
Several times a year the Knights of St. Tarcisius gather for what we call the "Sunday Fun Day." On such a day, all Knights gather to serve Mass that morning, following up Mass with a gathering for some fun activity. These activities have been a great way for our members to interact and grow together outside of serving and our monthly formation meetings. Although some of these Fun Days are funded by donation, there may be a small additional fee from our members in order to cover the costs of the event. SUMMER PAINTBALLING AT MARTIN CITY PAINTBALL Each summer the Knights head to Martin City Paintball for a day of team building and paintballing. We play several games of the older boys versus the younger boys along with several games of teams comprised of boys of all ages. The paintball Sunday Fun Days have been a huge hit and a great way for all our members to interact and grow in brotherhood and friendship. SUNDAY FUN DAY MOVIE DAY Other Sunday Fun Day activities are as simple as going to a movie together. Each Christmas one of our leaders, Andrew Lynch, rents out a theater for youth and family to see a big-release blockbuster. Thus far we've been to the recent Star Wars releases at Christmas. SUNDAY FUN DAY GAMES Another great winter Sunday Fun Day activity has been board games. We have many large-group games, but here are three of our favorites:
SUNDAY FUN DAY ONE-DAY ROCKET BUILD
November 2017 will see our first ever "Sunday Fun Day One Day Rocket Build" held at St. Ann's in Prairie Village. During the day our members will be brought together in teams to assemble and launch model rockets while learning a bit about the Catholic contribution to astronomy. It's going to be a great event! All this only scratches the surface of the "Sunday Fun Day" experience! We look forward to having many new members join in on all the fun in the future!
